"Do I know you in Real Life?," you ask. Well, that depends on what real life is. (smile) I would say geographically the answer is "no." But philosophically,  we may be right next to each other. You see, my husband was in the US Navy on a mine-sweeper during WW2. He had a near-death experience during the War that would support your research that one does not think much of anything while hurtling toward one's final destination. In fact, he "knew" he was going to die and felt peaceful about it. Consequently, he relaxed into the fall....and he lived through it! But the other side of the coin is what happens to those who witness the death of someone they love. Me, for example. Your entry floors me and grounds me at the same time. ---angel

I like the comment, "there is a mystery, but what is it?"  Existence is so weird.

"Ah, sweet mystery of life, at last I've found you," as the song goes. The answer to your question is romance, isn't it? ---angel
